Greg Petrauski and Debbie White started Applewood with the vision to provide exceptional assisted living services for their grandparents. Greg was blessed to have his grandmother reside in their family home while he was growing up. When the need for an advanced level of care was identified for her, Greg searched for the ideal assisted living home for his grandmother. He was not satisfied with the options that were available at that time. After consulting with Debbie who was working in the physical therapy department at Sacred Heart Hospital, they decided to start their own assisted living facility. In 1993, Applewood was established. Over 20 years later…Applewood is still a small family owned business with active on-site daily involvement. Because Greg and Debbie are involved with the day to day operations of our assisted living facilities, our owners still have special relationships with our residents and their families.
