At Applewood, we consider it paramount to meet the nursing needs of our residents.  Our nursing staff consists of an on-site Registered Nurse at each location who is trained to meet the specific needs of each resident.  Our nurses take the time to get to know each resident and their health issues.  Individual Service Plans (ISP’s) are developed for each resident upon admission by an on-site Registered Nurse.  These service plans are updated and adjusted to reflect the changing needs of each resident.

Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, Personal Care Assistants provide personal assistance in various areas including bathing, medication management, dressing, and medical visit coordination.  Applewood provides medication administration as prescribed by each resident’s physician.

Each Applewood Community also offers an on-site physician visit program, as well as an on-site podiatry program.

Registered Nurses are on-call 24/7 to ensure each resident’s nursing needs are met no matter what time of day.  Each residence also has a state-of-the art nurse call system for additional safety and security of each resident.
